About Artist

Elena Lobanowa comes from a Russian artist family. Inspired and encouraged by her grandfather, a landscape painter, she attended the School of Arts in Dnepropetrovsk. Numerous exhibitions in the former Soviet Union give an early insight into the work of the Russian artist. On the constant search for new materials, the motifs as well as the contrary painting techniques change with which the artist intentionally sets accents.
The artist became internationally known especially by her imposing bulls motifs. A key element in many of her works are people and their urban lives. Her recent expressive portraits prove her versatility and her striving to experiment with new motifs. International exhibitions underline the artist’s continuing success.
